About us
HerCreative Collab is a networking platform specifically designed to empower Mother's of Color in the creative industry. We offer networking meetings, childcare reources, and mentorships. We also have cohorts, which are groups of black women that meet regularly to collaborate on projects and offer support and advice to each other.
Last but not least, we offer funding for creative projects that we believe in! We are based in Los Angeles, but we are always looking to expand our reach. Our mission is to provide a space for MOC to create meaningful projects and to form lasting connections with other creative mother's in their community. We want to create an environment where MOC feel safe, supported, and encouraged to pursue their dreams. By working together, we can create a better future for MOC in the creative industry. I am so proud of what HerCreative Collab has become and I am excited to see what the future holds!
Meet Our Founder!
Alvinya Key, a remarkable individual, embodies creativity in its truest form. With an impressive repertoire of accomplishments, she has authored numerous captivating books, embarked on documentary filmmaking endeavors, and engaged in collaborative ventures with like-minded visionaries. Acutely aware of the arduous journey in securing financial support for artistic pursuits. Alvinya herself having trouble finding funding for her documentary she created back in 2020 saw a need that needed to be filled.
Alvinya felt compelled to establish an organization dedicated to empowering her fellow mothers within the community, propelling their dreams into vibrant existence.
